Intro

Creating an innovative matchmaking platform to help reach the United Nation's SDGs.

Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH
Concept, Design & Development

Our collaboration with the German Development Cooperation started in 2017 when we got approached to conceptualize the MVP for an interesting idea: a platform to encourage private-public partnerships to help solve the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations by connecting the dots between development challenges and business opportunities.

We defined the vision and mission of the platform in short brand sprints and, collaborating with the super talented Anna-Luise Lorenz, developed the brand from naming to logo and visual identity.

Developing a new platform is a great opportunity to do research and user testing to get into the minds of the target audience. We’ve had the opportunity to test prototypes with start-ups, SMEs, consultants, as well as big corporations and government representatives, giving us a 360-degree overview of how users and stakeholders think and tick.

Within three months we developed the first MVP, which, after many iterations grew into the platform you can experience now. Over the years we constantly refined the product as well as the brand and communication approach with the teams at GIZ, reacting to user feedback as well as political changes and internal stakeholders, while keeping the core of vision and mission intact.

The result of the initiative so far: hundreds of development challenges connections made fostering private-public partnerships and help solve the SDGs is just the beginning. With strong internal backing and support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, leverist.de will continue to grow

Learnings

leverist.de is a testament to the fact that public sector platforms don't have to be old fashioned and boring – and actually can have an impact within the private sector.
